privacy

fred is a trip planning app. this page explains what we collect and why.

what we collect

when you sign in with google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture to identify your account. when you create or join a trip, we store the content you add: destination, dates, plans, votes, expenses, photos, and messages sent through our telegram bot. if you connect telegram, we store your telegram user id.

how we use it

your data runs fred: showing your trips, syncing votes and plans across your group, and suggesting places through google places. we don't sell it or share it with advertisers. when you upload a photo or link, its contents are sent to anthropic's claude api to extract plans and expenses — processed and discarded, not trained on.

third parties

fred uses supabase (database, auth), vercel (hosting), anthropic (plan extraction), google (sign-in, places), pexels (cover photos), and telegram (bot input).
